ECoR earnings up 17% in 2013-14
With a focus on passenger service and completion of major projects, earnings of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) climbed up to Rs 12,338 crore in 2013-14, registering a jump of 17.37 per cent over the previous year.
Now improved headlights for locomotives
For brighter visibility of tracks, especially at locations with bends, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has designed, developed and provided 'Four Beam Headlights' on its locomotives. The headlights are first of its kind in Indian Railways. Generally, the locomotives run on Indian Railways are fitted with Twin Beam Headlights where the focus is on a straight line.
