Air India is projected to post an operating profit of Rs 300 crore in the current fiscal and there is no plan to privatise the airline, the government has confirmed.

CIL´s e-auction sales at 12% of Q1
Coal India e-auction sales in the first quarter this year once again reached 16 million tonnes (MnT), which is more than the total disposed in the immediate preceding quarter. E-auction volumes were 16 MnT, while realisation from the sales stood at Rs 3,494 crore.
Centre scales down road construction to 5,000 km
The Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry has scaled down its projects award target by nearly half to 5,000 km for this financial year compared to target of 9,500 km in 2012-13. Keeping in view of a dismal show last fiscal, the government has cut down the awarding of the road contracts. Last fiscal, the Ministry was barely able to award 15 per cent of the targeted 9,500 km of highways.
