Panel to formulate guidelines for road projects
Only guidelines will be formulated by the Rangarajan panel, appointed by the Union government on the premium rescheduling of road projects. The task of implementing the guidelines rests with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), say sources in the government.
Guidelines soon to ports for pollution mitigation
The Union government will soon issue guidelines to streamline the process of collection of oil cess which can be then used to assist ports to equip themselves for pollution mitigation, said the Union Minister of Shipping GK Vasan. Chennai Corporation to follow new norms for road works
The Corporation of Chennai is to follow the new guidelines stipulated by the Ministry of Surface Road Transport for quality road works in its purview.
