Gujarat government plans to pump in around Rs 141 crore to promote aviation in the state in the next financial year. The amount is more than double of what had been allocated to the sector for the current financial year. The focus will mainly be on developing aviation infrastructure facilities. A senior official from the civil aviation department said that the government wants to strengthen civil aviation network.

Gujarat seeks more central aid for renewable projects
To promote renewable energy projects further in the state, Gujarat government has demanded more Central assistance and incentive through policy changes. The State government is heavily focusing on the solar and other renewable energy power generation. The request to the Union government was made at the Power Minister's Conference held at New Delhi on February 5.
Fernas mulls $1 bn LNG terminal in Gujarat
Fernas Construction India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Turkey's Fernas Inc, plans to set up an LNG storage and re-gasification terminal in Gujarat in collaboration with Mumbai-based Swan Energy.Fernas Construction India plans to invest $1 billion (Rs 5,300 crore) over a period of four years for the proposed terminal to be set up at Okha in Jamnagar district.
Gujarat to develop new ports
The Gujarat government has finalised plans to develop six to seven new ports in the state. Large investments would flow into the port sector in the coming years. The state is planning ports at Dahej, Nargol, Vansi Borsi and Kutchhigarh,
