Centre to discuss policy support by states for affordable housing
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation will discuss with the states the policy measures being taken by them to promote affordable housing projects for the benefit of economically weaker sections (EWS) and low income groups (LIG).
Urban Development Minister assures all possible assistance for expediting projects in Odisha
The Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik met M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (HUPA) and Parliamentary Affairs in New Delhi on June 3, 2014. M. Venkaiah Naidu assured the Chief Minister all possible help and cooperation of his ministry in the implementation of the projects. The Minister also mentioned that any pending release of funds to the State will be expedited.
