Greenko Group commissioned a 50-MW wind farm in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
The wind farm was built with an outlay of EUR 43 million using Gamesa´s G97 turbines and has a capacity to deliver better performance in an average year. With this, the company´s total installing power generating portfolio has increased to 476 MW.

Sembcorp to acquire stake in NCC-Gayatri power project
Sembcorp Industries, a Singapore-based energy, water and marine group, has signed a conditional agreement to acquire 45 per cent stake in NCC Power Projects (NCCPP), which is currently building a 1,320-MW coal-fired power plant in Andhra Pradesh for Rs 848 crore. NCCPP is jointly owned by Gayatri Energy Ventures (GEVPL) and NCC Infrastructure Holdings (NCCIHL).
PMG clears hurdles in 84 mega projects
The Project Monitoring Group (PMG), attached to the Cabinet Secretariat, sorted out problems for some 84 mega projects totalling Rs 3.71 lakh crore investments in the past seven months since the inception of the group.
Capital spend on roads in Mumbai increased
The Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has increased the capital expenditure on roads by almost 62 per cent to Rs 2,500 crore in 2014-15. However, it hopes to spend Rs 1,016 crore, or just about two-thirds of the budget estimate.
Three states to sign MoU on tricity metro project
Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) related to the ambitious metro rail project.
Recently, all the three stakeholders had agreed upon the terms and conditions of the MoU and the approval of the same was conveyed to the government of India.

After conducting successful trial runs, the Rs 14,600 crore Chennai Metro Rail Project is expected to commence commercial operations on its first line by the end of 2014, covering around 11 km between Koyambedu and St Thomas Mount. The state administration said the project was progressing well, and would ensure faster clearance from the Centre for the Washermanpet to Thiruvottriyur corridor, besides taking up the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Phase II of the project.
Vodafone-as green steps
Vodafone India has moved 265 towers onto green technology in financial year 2012-13, taking their total number to 2,700, according to the company. As per the report, Vodafone had 2,435 of its sites on green technologies out of 1,10,004 total mobile towers that company directly manages.

A petroleum engineering graduate from the prestigious Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, Talukdar has been head of OIL´s exploration, development, reservoir management and drilling activities since December 2007. Prior to joining the Board, Talukdar held the post of Group General Manager (Geosciences) in the fields in the North-East India.?
