Work on Kannur airport to begin soon
In Kerala, construction of Kannur International Airport will begin within two weeks as the tender for the construction was awarded to Larsen & Toubro on November 7. The airport is the second public/private partnership airport to be developed and will be 49 per cent funded by private individuals and organisations.

The Kerala government is striving to operationalise the Kannur international airport by December 2015. Kerala Minister for Excise and Ports K Babu said that the third phase of land acquisition process for the proposed international airport in Kannur has begun.
Consultants for Kannur airport project
For the Kannur International Airport (KIAL), a consortium of STUP Consultants and Darashaw has been selected as integrated airport project consultant.
Kerala focussing on mega infra projects
Kerala government has finalised a number of mega infrastructure projects, for which, it is seeking domestic and foreign investments, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said.
