DMICDC cancels industrial area development project
Media reports indicate that Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC) decided to shelve plans to develop the Dighi port industrial area owing to issues in land acquisition. Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), which is acquiring land on behalf of DMICDC for the project, has reportedly received mixed response from land owing farmers
Land to be acquired for Rs 5,000 cr Surat Ring Road
For the Rs 5,000 crore Surat Outer Ring Road project, land acquisition would begin by Diwali. Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) and Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA) are ready with 11 draft TP schemes for development of the proposed 500 square metre of area on both sides of the road.

While the second deadline for the land acquisition notification lapsed last month, no land has been handed over to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for widening the highway.
Odisha govt to complete NH works in scheduled time
Land acquisition is to be paced up to complete the National Highway projects within the scheduled time, the Odisha government has decided. The State Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who reviewed the progress of different NH projects, asked the officials to expedite the process for getting forest clearances.
