Govt not responsible for road project delays: Natarajan
Union Environment Minister Jayanthi Natarajan on January 8 said that there was no delay 'even for a day' in granting clearances from her Ministry. She dinied allegations that delay in getting a green nod is holding up road projects.

Investors would love to invest in India if we get our act right
There are mainly three reasons. First and the most immediate one is government departments are not paying in time. For instance, NHAI dues are aggregating upwards of Rs 25,000 crore. Some are disputed and others are not. If you ask NHAI they will deny any payments are due, but that is not the [right] answer. Union cabinet to decide on land policy
A new land policy, that may clear land acquisition hurdle for existing and new infrastructure projects, would go to the union cabinet for approval. Land acquisition remains a major concern. Last year, a ban was imposed on the transfer of government land to other entities. If any department had to implement a project that required alienation of land (through lease, licence or rent), it had to seek the approval of the cabinet.

Rs 80 cr for AP airport
