MBL Infrastructure has been awarded the project of developing a 46.98 km road from Garra-Waraseoni up to Maharashtra border in Madhya Pradesh by Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MRPDC), the company said in a statement.

Recently, GMR Infrastructure and GVK Power & Infrastructure exited from two mega road projects (that they agreed to set up under public private partnership [PPP] model) citing delay in environmental clearances. While GVK withdrew from an around Rs 3,000-croreShivpuri-Dewas project in Madhya Pradesh, GMR abandoned its over Rs 6,000-croreKishangarh-Udaipur-Ahmedabad project.

MP gets Centre’s nod to construct 4,675 km roads
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), the Union government has sanctioned 4,675 km long 1,521 new roads costing Rs 1,780 crore to Madhya Pradesh. Following construction of these roads, 1,600 habitats will be linked by all-weather roads with development block, tehsil and district levels, an official release issued in Bhopal said.
GVK cancels Shivpuri-Dewas road contract in MP
GVK Power & Infrastructure has terminated a road contract with NHAI in Madhya Pradesh. The tollway was to come up in Shivpuri Dewas section. But the concessionaire GVK decided to terminate the contract entered by its subsidiary with NHAI last year due to delays in securing mandatory clearances, including right of way.
