Tata Power is setting up 160 MW wind projects throughout the country. Tata Power already has an installed wind energy generation capacity of 398 MW with projects across Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. From wind projects, the company saw its electricity generation rose 43 per cent to 813 million units in the year ended March 2013 from 569 million units in the previous year.

Rs 3,000 cr road works cleared in Maha, Punjab
The Union government on October 30 cleared Rs 3,000 crore worth highway widening works in Maharashtra and Punjab. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved four laning of the Aurangabad-Yedeshi highway in Maharashtra at an investment of Rs 2,406.63 crore. In Punjab, the Sangrur-Haryana border road will be widened at Rs 612.28 crore investment.

IRB Infrastructure Developers has commenced toll collection on Kolhapur highway in Maharashtra, the company said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange on October 29.

Maha gets nod for Rs 354 cr worth road works
The Union government has approved proposals for roads worth Rs 354 crore in Maharashtra to improve its infrastructure works. The road works will be funded under the Centre's flagship Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
Work to start soon on a new bridge near Kolhapur
Work on a parallel bridge to Shivaji Bridge on Panchaganga River, to connect Kolhapur to Konkan area in Maharashtra, is likely to start from next week. The bridge work has been taken up by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Bonatrans to invest Rs 200 cr on wheel factory
With Rs 200 crore foreign direct invesment (FDI) a rail wheel manufacturing factory will be built in Maharashtra's Aurangabad by Bonatrans, a Czech wheel and axle manufacturing company. The Indian Railways, which has already have such a wheel and axle factory in Bangalore, has succeeded to attract the FDI from Bonatrans.

Nashik civic body to concretise 11 main roads
In Nashik city of Maharashtra, 11 selected roads with heavy traffic density are to be concretised to reduce maintenance works and increase travel comfort on the roads. The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has undertaken the process for concretisation work on the 11 roads.
