Orissa government has agreed to provide the updated information on status of prospecting licence applications, renewal of mining leases and digitisation of mining lease boundaries as requested by Justice MB Shah Commission of enquiry. The probe panel sought this information after inspection of illegal mining activities in Orissa during its six day visit.
