The Indian Railways said most of the capitals of North Eastern states will have railway connection by 2020. ĆĀ“All capital cities of North East states, including Sikkim, will be under Indian Railways map by 2020.

Rail service in Arunachal
Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is planning to flag off the first train service from Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh on 12 December.This will include Arunachal Pradesh in the railway map of the country.The NFR authorities assured that railway service from Naharlagun will begin on the scheduled date after an aerial recce of the ongoing projects.
