Work on the first phase of the signal-free stretch on Outer Ring Road of Delhi is expected to begin later this month. The Rs 559.6-crore project will include construction of a 3.3km elevated road from Vikaspuri to Meera Bagh that will zip over five intersections. The project, undertaken by the State Public Works Department (PWD), is part of a Rs 2,200 crore project that seeks to make the 17 km stretch from Vikaspuri to Wazirabad signal-free.
