Railways to roll out smart coaches
In accordance to the Make in India programme, the Indian Railways will be setting up 100 smart trains with features like black box and artificial integrate-powered CCTVs, which will match the international standards.
Air India posts Rs.246 crore loss in April-June quarter
Air India has reported an operational loss of Rs.246.14 crore in the three months ended June 2016. The airline had turned operationally profitable in the previous fiscal. The operating loss in the first quarter of this fiscal has come down from Rs.315.37 crore in the year-ago period.
Include Surat under policy, demands MP
A member of the consultative committee for Ministry of Civil Aviation and Navsari MP, CR Paatil, has sought inclusion of Surat airport under the National Civil Aviation policy to cap fares at Rs.2,500 per passenger for a one-hour flight.
