Potholes on the busy Bangalore-Mangalore highway's Shiradi Ghat stretch will be filled by January 31. Work of filling potholes has already started. The repair work will be carried out in a transparent mannerm, said the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Oscar Fernandes in Mangalore on December 30.

According to media reports and public complaints, the under construction flyovers on the 240 km Jaipur-Gurgoan highway have turned a nightmare to motorists. The highway has flyovers under construction every third km. NHAI charges around Re 1/km, about Rs 240 as toll. And this is going for the last so many years and the highway is getting worse, especially developing numerous potholes in this rainy season.
Only 52 potholes on 652 newly-built Mumbai roads: Report
Mumbai's 652 newly-constructed roads have only 52 potholes, SGS India private Ltd, a Switzerland - based third party auditor, has stated in its report submitted to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. According to the report, it found only 52 potholes, which disturbed just a fraction — 0.028 per cent — of the total area of roads built by contractors under its supervision.
