AIIB to invest Rs 127 billion in India’ infrastructure sector
Considering, India's substantial infrastructure requirement, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has plans to invest around Rs 127 billion in projects including transport (metro), rural (road upgradation), energy (renewables) and water and waste management.
Simplex Infra bags order worth Rs 2595 cr in Q4FY18
Simplex Infra has bagged orders worth Rs 25.95 billion in the fourth quarter from January to MarchÂ’18. With this the total order inflow during FY18 amounts to Rs 76.66 billion. The new orders have emanated 87 per cent from public sector and 13 per cent from private sector, 98 per cent from domestic territories and 2 per cent from abroad.

Power Grid evinces interest to invest in Telangana
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has evinced interest in investing in power transmission lines in Telangana. “PGCIL has expressed its interest to invest in the transmission projects in the state. The Chief Minister wanted officials from the state electricity department and PGCIL to hold talks in this regard,” a release issued by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s office said.
Mitsubishi Corp launches energy storage demonstration project in Delhi
Mitsubishi Corporation has reached a basic agreement with AES Corporation and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL), which distributes electricity in northern and north-western Delhi, to develop an energy storage demonstration project in India. The project will be concentrated in the grid sectors operated by TPDDL.
India Grid Trust to go in for IPO
India Grid Trust has filed its draft red herring prospectus with SEBI for a proposed IPO of Rs 2,650 crore. The investment trust, sponsored by Sterlite Power Grid Ventures Ltd, owns inter-state power transmission assets in India.
