We plan to develop India as a Southeast Asia hub
At the moment, we estimate the market to be around 130 million square metres. And we expect this to potentially double within the next five to six years. So maybe we are talking about 200 million square metres. This is also the reason why we have moved into India as we see good potential in this market segment. We are aware that there are some challenges involved.
Awareness creation is the biggest challenge
Currently, the demand is much less than the supply. We all have an installed capacity, but are not able to sort of utilise that fully because the demand still has to pick up locally.
Hidden Benefits
Notwithstanding the tremendous potential to expand revenues, general lack of awareness about the benefits of using geosynthetics might delay projections set by firms in the sector. However, despite challenges, growth is eventually inevitable.

The Great PPP Conundrum
The fast growth of the Indian economy in recent years has placed increasing stress on physical infrastructure, such as electricity, railways, roads, ports, airports, irrigation, healthcare, water supply and sanitation systems, all of which already suffer from a substantial deficit
The NET of all Nets
Was it Napoleon, who said that an army marches on its stomach? Or was it Frederick the Great? Historians do not seem to agree on that contentious question. Irrespective of who made that statement, you would think their armies moved on horses and carriages.
Net Neutrality for India
Infrastructure is the critical backbone of any nation. India´s deficiencies in this regard, despite huge subsidies by the government, are very well known - whether it be in respect of highways and railways, housing, ports, power or water supply.
