Welspun Renewables has pledged to set up mega 11 GW solar and wind projects across the country. The 11,001 MW capacity will be developed as 8,660 MW of solar and 2,341 MW of wind power projects.

NTPC commits to add 10,000 MW of solar
NTPC has committed to add 10,000 MW through solar projects at RE-Invest - 2015, the first renewable energy global investment meet which was held in New Delhi. Dr Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC, presented the certificate of commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy and PK Sinha, Secretary, Power, GOI.
Prabhu wants specific policies on renewable energy
Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has called for more active participation of States in harnessing renewable energy. He was speaking at the session tilted ´Showcase of Policy Incentives by States´ in the RE-INVEST 2015 in New Delhi.
