Maha spends Rs 2,368 cr on its roads
Maharashtra has a road network of 2,41,000 km. The stateĆ¢ā¬ā¢s expenditure on roads has increased from Rs 539 crore in 2005 to Rs 2,368 crore. In 1996, the state government decided to formulate a private-public-partnership (PPP) policy to finance its Road Development Plan (1981Ć¢ā¬ā2001), which in turn called for about Rs 26,000 crore of investments.

Pune division seeks Rs 2,500 cr for road development
To develop a road network of 24,569 km in Pune division comprising Pune, Satara, Sangli, Solapur and Kolhapur districts the Pune Divisional Commissionerate has sought Rs 2,500 crore from the Centre and the State governments. The commissionerate has also sought around Rs 800 crore for repair of roads.
