ABBÂ’s technology ventilates AsiaÂ’s longest road tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir
The new 10.8 kilometre Chenani-Nashri tunnel in Jammu & Kashmir, the longest highway tunnel in Asia, will feature a state-of-the-art ABB ventilation system to ensure that users have access to fresh air as they drive through it. ABB India has partnered with IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd and Sterling & Wilson Ltd in the development of yet another major Indian infrastructure project.
ABB India and IIT Madras collaborate to develop multi-village micro-grid models
ABB India and IIT Madras will collaborate to develop a power management system to optimise the operation of multiple micro-grids, with and without grid connection, while managing electricity supply to villages. This system will also enable the integration of individual solar PV rooftops to a village micro-grid.
ABB wins order to supply 1600 transformers to Indian Railways
ABB has won an order from Alstom to supply 1600 traction transformers for 800 new electric freight locomotives in India.

Israel Ambassador visits IDE plant
During his recent visit to Chennai, Ambassador of Israel Alon Ushpiz took a visit to IDE´s 100 million liters per day (MLD) Nemelli desalination plant. The plant, designed by MECON, was built by IDE Technologies (Israel) together with local Indian partner on EPC basis with a seven years operation and maintenance contract awarded by end client CMWSSB to IDE consortium.
