At a cost of Rs 9 crore, the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) has taken up the construction of two additional storage sheds in the port premises. According to a media statement issued by the port, these sheds could store up to 22,000 tonne of bulk cargoes such as maize, wheat and fertiliser and they would be set up in a built-up area of 7,000 sq metre.
