Tamil Nadu is back on a tender mode for solar power projects, reports the Economic Times. Though the price per unit of solar power has been falling across the country, Tamil Nadu was among the few states which signed power purchase agreements at Rs.7.10 per unit until recently.

To cut the cost of solar power in the country the Union government is planning to roll out large megawatt size solar power projects. The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries has said that about 750 mw of solar power projects are stranded for want of clarity in policy issues and clearances in Andhra Pradesh.
