AP Choudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL) said the firm would enter into an agreement with the AP Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC) to set up an iron ore and steel plant at Bayyaram in Khammam. India steel output rises 3% in 5 months to May
Data from the World Steel Association (WSA) shows that India's steel output rose 3 percent to 33.5 million tonne during the first five months of this year (Jan-May 2013). RINL to invest Rs 25 bn on iron ore project
State-run steel maker RINL plans to set up an iron ore beneficiation plant and a 2 million tonne pellet plant in Bhilwara, Rajasthan at a cost of Rs 2,500 crore. Union Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma informed that capacity of steel production in the country has risen from 66 million tonne (mn t) in 2009 to about 90 mn t in 2012, which is a 36 per cent growth. JSW may use low-grade ore to overcome shortage
