Maharashtra working on solar policy
Maharashtra would now have a solar policy which would introduce the concept of solar power parks, encouraging private solar power generation in the State. The policy would also suggest making solar geysers mandatory for buildings and solar panels on all the government establishments in the State.

Govt gives 30% aid to buy solar water heating systems
The Union government is providing central financial assistance (CFA) upto 30 per cent of the Benchmark cost of the equipment in Solar Water Heating systems and Solar Photo Voltaic systems such as solar lanterns, home lights, street lights and stand alone PV power plants.
