NALCO plans to set up a new greenfield smelter in Odisha at Kamakhyanagar. The site is close to where NALCO is teaming up with NTPC for setting up a 2,400 MW coal-fired power station.

Pollution board refuses consent to 2 power units
Maharashtra Pollution Control Board´s (MPCB) high-level committee has refused approval to two new units of Mahagenco´s Chandrapur Super Thermal Power Station over the company´s failure to put pollution control measures in place.
