BMC to invite tenders for Rs 1,002 cr road works
To give a face-lift to Mumbai streets by the end of next November, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) plans to issue tenders worth Rs 1,002 crore. BMC said that as As part of the plan, it will carry out asphalt works worth Rs 240 crore covering 68 roads in the island city and 43 in eastern suburbs.

Tenders invited for cargo handling at Kolkata port
Tenders have been invited by the Kolkata Port Trust (KoPT) for mechanised handling of containerised cargo at three out of the 12 berths in the Netaji Subhas Dock (NSD) of the Kolkata port. The port authorities have called for a pre-bid techno-commercial conference on November 15. The last date for submission of the bids is December 3.

State highways in Odisha to be developed at Rs 3,000 cr
Odisha is to repair its State Highways at a cost of Rs 3,000 crore in the next four years. The State government has started process for tenders for road works of 381 km in the first phase at a cost of Rs 633 crore. The government has come out with ĆāState Highways Development Programme (SHDP), a new scheme for the purpose. Under the plan, the government aims to double lane all the State Highways within 12th Five Year Plan with an estimated investment of Rs 3,000.00 crore.

Nashik civic body invites Rs 10.7 cr bids for road works
For various road works in Nashik city, such as tarring, resurfacing, macadamization, etc, the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has invited bids worth Rs 10.7 crore. The tenders include around 28 various road works in various parts of the city. The road contracts are to be done through private contractors and the last date for filing the bids is next October 3.

Rs 1,200 cr for Mumbai’s road reconstruction
This year, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will reconstruct roads in the city at a cost of Rs 1,200 crore. It will invite tenders soon for the same. The civic body has allotted Rs 900 crore to reconstruct major roads and Rs 300 crore for minor roads. In a move to fix responsibility, BMC has appointed one engineer for each road.
