Four natural gas processing terminals to come up

Shipping Ministry to invest Rs.14,225 cr on port projects
In order to bring the Major Ports in India at par with its contemporaries across the world, Ministry of Shipping has been emphasising on creation of additional capacities through development and construction of new berths/terminals, revamp of existing berths and terminals and other modernisation projects.
Cochin Shipyard to raise Rs.600-700 cr

Govt to re-bid 10 private cargo-handling terminals
The Shipping Ministry has rejected demands by 10 private cargo handlers operating under tariff rules framed in 2005 to migrate to a new regime that took effect in July 2013.
Government to set up INWTG
The Government is considering a proposal to set up an Integrated National Waterways Transport Grid (INWTG) which covers mainly five National Waterways. The INWTG includes development of the National Waterways with at least 2.5 meter Least Available Depth (LAD), upgrading/ setting up of priority terminals, establishing road connectivity, wherever feasible, rail and port connectivity.
