US keen to collaborate on infra

Coal demand falls

GAIL’s Singapore arm to get 1 mt US LNG
GAIL (India) has allocated one million tonne a year of liquefied natural gas (LNG) sourced from the US to its subsidiary GAIL Global (Singapore) Pte in Singapore, which is a subsidiary of GAIL India in Singapore.
Govt to open 10 new tech parks in one year
Within one year, the Union government has a target to set up 10 new software technology parks in the country. The government is also planning to provide marketing support to the companies housed in these tech parks by setting up a dedicated office in the US.
Cairn India ranked worlds fastest growing energy firm
Cairn India has been ranked as the fastest growing energy company in the world while Reliance Industries is the top ranked Indian energy firm in the global ranking. With a compound growth rate of 121 per cent in past three years, Cairn was ranked the fastest growing energy company in the world ahead of Cnooc of China, Valero Energy of the US, PetroChina, Essar Energy and Russian Rosneft, according to the Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings.
Bollinger to build another 6 Coast Guard cutters
In the US, the Bollinger Shipyards of Lockport has a $250.7 million contract for six more fast response cutters for the Coast Guard. The Coast Guard said in a news release on September 24 that it had ordered the cutters for delivery in 2016. They bring the total number of the boats under contract with Bollinger to 24, and the contract's total value so far to $1.1 billion.
