Kerala govt to decide on Kochi flyovers within a fortnight
The Kerala government will soon decide on constructing flyovers at the extremely congested Vyttila, Palarivattom and Kundanoor junctions in Kochi city, the State Minister for Public Works VK Ebrahim Kunju said on May 27. The State Cabinet will decide it within a fortnight. As for the Edappally flyover, the DMRC is expected to begin work within four months and complete it within 18 months, he said, following a PWD review meeting held in Kochi on May 27.
Kochi civic body to approach NHAI for flyover designs
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will be approached by the Kochi Corporation and ask it for designs of flyovers planned at Edappally, Vyttila and Palarivattom junctions in the city limits. Mayor Tony Chammany informed the council that he would take up the issue with NHAI project director CT Abraham.
Chamber wants construction of flyovers at Kochi
Kerala government must begin construction of the proposed flyovers at Edappally and Vyttila in Kochi, Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry demanded. The proposed flyovers would mitigate traffic congestion in the National Highway and facilitate trade and commerce activities in Kochi, the chamber said.
