Designed to serve a broad spectrum of EV users—from private vehicles to ride-hailing fleets and logistics operators—the hub provides seamless access to clean mobility for frequent flyers, hotel guests and professionals across the Andheri-BKC-South Mumbai corridor.

Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power utility and leading electric vehicle (EV) charging provider, has partnered with Tata Passenger Electric Mobility to inaugurate Mumbai’s largest premium EV charging hub under the TATA.ev MegaCharger initiative. The facility was launched on World EV Day and is strategically located near Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, within the premises of The Leela Mumbai Hotel.

Designed to serve a wide spectrum of EV users—from private vehicles to ride-hailing fleets and logistics operators—the hub offers seamless access to clean mobility for frequent flyers, hotel guests and professionals across the Andheri-BKC-South Mumbai corridor.

“This fast-charging hub, developed in collaboration with Tata Motors, reflects our integrated approach to India’s green mobility transition,” said Praveer Sinha, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Power. “Strategically located and powered entirely by renewable energy, it sets a benchmark for future-ready EV infrastructure.”

Equipped with eight fast direct current (DC) chargers offering speeds up to 120 kilowatts (kW), the facility features 16 charging bays, enabling simultaneous charging for multiple vehicles and reducing wait times during peak hours. It adds to the 1,000 plus green charging points already deployed by Tata Power across Mumbai.

“This is the first of many joint installations under the TATA.ev MegaCharger network,” said Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility & Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles. “It marks a significant milestone in our mission to expand fast, reliable charging infrastructure across India.”

The hub is open to all EV users, with exclusive benefits for TATA.ev customers including priority access and discounts of up to 25 per cent. Charging services are accessible via the Tata Power EZ Charge App and will soon be integrated into the iRA.ev Connected Car app.

Tata Power currently operates over 5,500 public and captive EV charging points, 140,000 home chargers, and 1,200-plus bus charging stations across more than 630 cities and towns. By 2030, the company aims to scale its network to 750,000 home chargers and 10,000 public charging points to support the country’s transition to clean, connected mobility.
