Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has sought the completion of power projects being taken up by State power generation corporation (Telangana Genco) within a fixed time-frame.
He said the government would release funds for the construction of power projects from time to time.
Rao also handed over a cheque for Rs 350 crore as the first instalment to PSU major Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), which would construct the power generation projects in Telangana, a release from the CMO said.
BHEL is building an 800 MW project at a cost of Rs 3,810 crore at Kothagudem, and a 1080 MW project at Rs 4,200 crore at Manuguru in the State.
