Citing the national security, the lobby of Indian telecom equipment manufacturers has suggested induction of domestic equipment in the telecom networks. The Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association (TEMA) in a communication has raised the issue of susceptibility of the Indian telecommunication network to collapse at any critical juncture due to negligence of domestic manufacturing.
