Titagarh Wagons has made its maiden foray into manufacturing metro coaches. Recently, it bagged a contract for rehabilitation of 56 coaches (seven rakes) from the Kolkata Metro Railway. The job will involve mid-life repair and refurbishing of the rakes.
Umesh Chowdhary, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, said this marked TWL’s entry into the metro coach business segment.
