Toshiba Elevator and Building Systems Corporation (TELC; headquarters Kawasaki, Japan), a subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation, has announced the launch of its Engineering Center to provide engineering support in India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Engineering Center started operations on July 1st. Construction of high-rise buildings is booming in India and with it the demand for high level technical support. TELC will meet this demand by continuing to offer products and services suited to local markets, and by strengthening and expanding its engineering resources.
