There has been a long delay in the tunnel construction for the proposed underground metro line from close to Mandi House to ITO in Delhi. The project executing firms – Shanghai Urban Construction Group (SUCG) and Larsen and Toubro (L&T) – have already received approval from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the tunnel project. Now they are awaiting permissions from the Railways for the project.
