The Ministry of Corporate Affairs vide notification dated 05.02.2015 has exempted the Vessel Sharing Agreements of Liner Shipping Industry from the provision of Section 3 of the Competition Act, 2002 for a period of one year from the date of publication of notification in the official gazette, in public interest. The Vessel Sharing Agreements had initially been exempted from the provision of Section 3 of the Competition Act 2002 for a period of one year with effect from 11.12.2013 to 10.12.2014.
