Assam Gas Company Ltd (AGCL) and Assam Power Generation Corporation Ltd (APGCL) have decided to set up 50-MW power plant by utilising associated gas that is generally wasted in the oil fields. The gas based power project will cost Rs 300 crore. The project is likely to come up at Titabor in Jorhat district of Assam. The completion is targeted in two years.
