World Bank approves Rs 3.7 bn project

The Rs 373 crore Cuttack-Chandabali Road project, which is one of the biggest road projects to be implemented in Odisha, received approval from the World Bank.

For a long time, Odisha government was pursuing the clearance of the road project with the centre and the World Bank.

With this, the World Bank cleared all projects having a total length of 310 km at a cost of Rs 869 crore.

The Cuttack-Chandabali Road project is intended to ease traffic congestion on the route. The state government is keen on speedy implementation of the project in a time-bound manner.

This was a long-standing demand of the people of the districts of Cuttack, Kendrapara and Bhadrak.
