On Tuesday the Yamuna Expressway Authority approved a budget worth Rs 4,528 crore for the FY 2022-23. This is a 30% increase from last fiscal’s budget worth Rs 3,406 crore. With the various development projects on the way, the Authority would spend Rs 1,535 crore on land acquisition itself, which is three times more than the given for the last financial year.

Authority CEO Arun Vir Singh said that they have paid attention to land acquisition and development of Jewar airport along with multi-modal connectivity. Besides rural development. Additionally, Rs 583 crore had been spent on land acquisition last year and Rs 1,535 crore have been allocated for the same as well. This financial year, a Logistic Hub, a Medical Device Park and several industrial schemes would be launched.

The Authority has allocated Rs 405 crore for the second phase of the Noida International Airport located in Jewar.

Furthermore, Rs 300 crore would be spent on the metro rail, pod taxi, and road construction for multi-modal connectivity. Overall they have set a target to purchase 1,200 acres of land. In the previous financial year, Rs 583 crore had been spent to buy 455 acres of land.

The Yamuna Expressway Authority allocated Rs 76.98 crore for a smart village project. Also a budget worth Rs 80 crore is allocated for the development of several villages.
