Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) intends to export 35,000 tonne of low aromatic naphtha for July 5-8 loading from Kochi.
For this purpose, the state-run oil marketing company (OMC) has issued tender and invited bids from traders till June 11.
Meanwhile, the firm is in the process of importing gasoline
from abroad in order to meet shortage of the fuel in the domestic market owing to plant outages and rise in demand.
The firm plans to import 10,000 tonne of reformate for July 8-12 arrival at the Mumbai port through a tender closing on June 10. Offers are to stay valid until June 12.
In end May, the company bought its first gasoline cargo this year following a supply crunch caused by summer holiday demand coinciding with an outage in HPCL’s Vizag plant and ongoing maintenance at refineries operated by MRPL and IOC, BPCL itself has also suffered a setback after a fire hit its Numaligarh refinery in northeastern India.
