A contract of Rs 358 crore has been bagged by engineering and construction major Punj Lloyd from the Chennai Petroleum Corporation (CPCL) to build the Sulphur Block of Resid Upgradation Project at its Manali refinery near Chennai.
The scope of work for Punj in the contract comprises residual basic and detailed engineering, procurrment, construction, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and project management for the sulphur block comprising 2X100 TPD Sulphur Revovery Unit including Tail Gas Treatment Unit, Sour Water Stripper and 250 TPH capacity Amine Regeneration Unit on a single point responsibility basis.
By December 2015, the project is expected to be commissioned. With this contract, the order backlog for the Punj Lloyd Group on a consolidated basis has gone up to Rs 21,226 crore, reflecting the total value of unexecuted order as on June 30, 2013 and the orders received after the day.
