Eureka Forbes participates in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a precursor to the transformation that India has poised at presently. On its journey from a developing to a developed nation, initiatives like this are aimed to set the pace for the futuristic smart cities. A mission with its roots in the ideologies of ´Mahatma´ has brought about a psychological change towards cleaning.
Since this mission´s launch on 2nd October 2014, Eureka Forbes has been a key driver of this national initiative as it is the major contributor to the cleaning industry. To spread the awareness of the mission, special sessions were conducted at customer sites on 2nd October 2014, the day, mission was launched. The target areas for the abhiyan are public places like railway stations, government hospitals, metro stations, bus depots, shopping malls, IT campuses and various factories. The Swachh Bharat pledge was executed to perfection by the ´Swachhta Senanis´ who introduced latest techniques of mechanised cleaning to provide the cutting edge to the concept. The Swachh Bharat cause would get the impetus with the introduction of the latest and sophisticated cleaning techniques and tools. With the Mahatma´s symbol of Swachh Bharat finding place everywhere, various fraternities have opened up their mind to the idea of mechanised cleaning.
Conservative places like temples too have also involved in Swachh Bharat mission and have welcomed the change that has come with this cause. A place with traditional practices since ages, have accepted and allowed this activity to be conducted in their premises. Somnath Temple in Gujarat is a perfect example of this transformation story, where this abhiyan has brought about a radical change in the perception toward cleaning processes. Auto Scrubber Dryers are being used to clean the porticos of the temple; Ride-On Sweepers service the walkways, Single Disk Machines provide the mirror like shine on the marble floors and high pressure cleaners reach out to the domes of the small temples to keep them clean and dust free. Even the residing rooms of Lord Shiva at the Mahakaaleshwar temple in Ujjain experienced this wave of cleanliness that the mission has developed.
The government machinery has geared up for this mission and they have been trained about the benefits of this mission. They are actively participating in such activities to be the agents of change to the present manual procedures that involve additional manpower, unproduc¡tive time and imperfect cleaning efficiencies. Senior officials and bureaucrats like collectors and ministers have joined hands to get this implemented at various segments of the society and industries across India.
