Balance of System tender floated by NTPC for wind project in Gujarat

NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC invited bids for a 1,000 MW capacity
Balance of System (BoS) package of interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected wind power
project. Additionally, for three years, the winning bidder will be responsible for the full operation
and upkeep of the system. The design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, and
commissioning of the wind projects are all included in the scope of work. Additionally, the
contractor is in charge of demonstrating the guaranteed performance parameters beginning with
the 33kV internal evacuation lines from the unit substation, pooling substation, central monitoring
and control station, wind monitoring masts, and external EHV transmission line until the ISTS
substation.

The deadline for proposal submissions is February 28, 2023 and opening of bids will also be held on
the same day. The bidders must have completed at least one project with a capacity of 10 MW or
more at a single location, with a minimum cumulative wind project capacity of 40 MW. Before the
bid opening date, the reference project with a capacity of 10 MW or more has to have been in
operation for at least a year.
