The proposed acquisition will strengthen SITA’s ability to deliver more seamless and resilient operations across the air transport industry once completed.
SITA, a global air transport IT provider, has agreed to acquire Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions, which delivers passenger processing, baggage handling and airport operations technology. The proposed acquisition will strengthen SITA’s ability to deliver more seamless and resilient operations across the air transport industry once completed.
Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions provides technology and operational expertise that move passengers and baggage through terminals, from check‑in and self‑service touchpoints to bag drop and mission‑critical systems that keep airports running. The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals.
“Air transport is growing and so are expectations. Our industry increasingly needs technology, innovation and people working together to connect each part of the journey, so disruptions are prevented or fixed fast when they happen,” said David Lavorel, CEO, SITA. “This acquisition extends SITA’s offerings and capabilities, reinforcing our commitment and role as the trusted technology partner our customers rely on.”
Bringing together SITA and Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions will enhance support for customers and improve passenger, baggage and airport operations.
“Ask an airport what it wants from a technology provider, and the answer is a trusted partner,” said Nathalie Altwegg, Senior Vice President, Airports, SITA. “That means understanding its environment, working closely with its teams, and being there when support is needed. This acquisition will strengthen our ability to do that for more customers across the industry.”
