The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to lend $ 200 million for North Eastern State Roads Investment Programme. The Union and State governments will provide a further $ 98.2 million for a total programme investment cost of $ 298.2 million. The funds, which will be released in two tranches, will be used to upgrade over 400 km of roads in Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim and Tripura.
