Roads and telecommunication facilities at Bumla, the last Army post in Tawang district of Arunachal Prdesh, bordering China located at 17,000 feet, needed to be improved. The State Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has assured the Indian Army in the area to take up the matter with the Union government and press for the facilities.

Tuki visited Bumla on October 20. It is the site for the 1962 Chinese aggression. The CM lauded the forces for their yeoman’s service in guarding the frontier under inclement weather conditions – the border post records 10 to 15 feet of snowfall during winter when the temperature goes below minus 23 degrees Centigrade.
