The Butibori and Dadri units take Avaada Electro’s ALMM-approved manufacturing capacity past 5,400 MW a year.

Avaada Electro, the solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing arm of Avaada Group, has expanded its production footprint with two facilities now enlisted under the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).

The units—located at Butibori in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and Dadri in Uttar Pradesh—bring Avaada Electro’s combined ALMM-approved manufacturing capacity to over 5,400 MW per annum. The inclusion enables the company to supply modules for government-backed solar projects, reinforcing its position in India’s clean energy transition.

In a statement issued over the weekend, Avaada Group said the recognition reinforces its leadership in delivering advanced solar technologies aligned with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and Net Zero 2070 goals.

“The ALMM accreditation of Avaada Electro reaffirms our commitment to ‘Make in India, Make for the World’,” said Vineet Mittal, Chairman, Avaada Group. “With these next-generation TOPCon modules, we are not only powering solar projects but also inspiring a greener, self-reliant, and more sustainable India. This is our Sankalp to Siddhi in action.”

The Butibori facility has an annual capacity of 4,111 MW and will manufacture bifacial N-Type TOPCon modules and glass-to-glass variants rated at 720 Watt-peak (Wp), 630 Wp, and 610 Wp. These modules offer higher efficiency by capturing sunlight on both sides and using tunnel oxide passivated contacts (TOPCon) to reduce energy loss. The plant features automated production lines and a smart energy management system with a takt time—defined as the rate at which a product must be completed to meet demand—of just 16 seconds.

The Dadri unit, with an annual capacity of 1,311 MW, will produce bifacial N-Type TOPCon and glass-to-glass modules ranging from 585 Wp to 610 Wp.

Avaada Electro’s expansion positions the company to meet growing demand across utility-scale and distributed solar segments.
