To give a face-lift to Mumbai streets by the end of next November, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) plans to issue tenders worth Rs 1,002 crore. BMC said that as
As part of the plan, it will carry out asphalt works worth Rs 240 crore covering 68 roads in the island city and 43 in eastern suburbs.
Tenders costing Rs 73 crore will be issued for concretising roads in eastern suburbs. In Mumbai, 103 minor roads will be improved at a cost of Rs 97 crore.
It has also decided to undertake concretisation of 37 roads in the western suburbs at an estimated cost of Rs 482 crore and cover 35 junctions in parts of Mumbai at an estimated cost of Rs 110 crore.
