A Joint Venture (JV) agreement was signed between Ministry of Railways and Government of Haryana to expand Railway network in the state. The Ministry of Railways has taken initiative for formation of JV Companies with states.

Habibganj Railway redevelopment
An agreement was signed between Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation Limited (IRSDC) and Bansal Group for the redevelopment and modernisation of Habibganj Railway Station located in Bhopal, MP.
HCC awarded Rs.1,750 cr contract by IRCON
Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has been awarded a prestigious contract worth Rs.1,749.59 crore by IRCON International Ltd to construct two tunnels and a bridge on Katra - Banihal Section of Udhampur - Srinagar - Baramulla New BG Railway Line Project. The project will be completed in 30 months.
Maharashtra plans Metro from Jogeshwari to Vikhroli
With four Metro projects reaching either the stage of execution or tendering, the state government will take up another Metro line - Jogeshwari to Vikhroli (Metro-6) - to connect the east-west corridor. The estimated cost of this project is around Rs.4,000 crore.
DMRC to hand over two Metro stations
The DMRC will hand over two stations to the KMRL in August. The stations -û one at Cusat junction and the other at Kalamassery -will have finished structures, sans interior fittings.

82 railway stations to get CCTV cameras
The Southern Railway will install CCTV cameras in 82 railway stations in Chennai division at a cost of Rs.40.6 crore in six months. ´The Union Ministry of Railways recently sanctioned Rs.40.6 crore for installing CCTV cameras in 82 railway stations in the Chennai division.
